They offer a large on-demand library of episodic content built for mobile consumption and are expanding rapidly in the U.S. as vertical storytelling becomes one of the fastest-growing formats in digital entertainment.

Position Overview

This role straddles the creative and corporate sides of the business. On one hand, you're building relationships with writers, literary managers, agencies, and talent development programs to keep the creative pipeline full. On the other, you're running full-cycle recruiting for executive, production, post, and corporate positions. You'll also serve as a brand ambassador at industry events, develop university partnerships with programs like UCLA, USC, and AFI, and help stand up U.S. HR systems including ATS platforms. It's a high-visibility role in a startup-paced environment where you'll have direct impact on how the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and recruit contract screenwriters, development and creative executives, producers, post-production talent, and corporate hires
  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing and scheduling through offers, approvals, and onboarding, coordinating with hiring managers and HQ on process optimization
  • Represent DramaBox as a brand ambassador across entertainment and business communities
  • Build and maintain relationships with writers, literary managers, and agencies to access top creative talent
  • Develop university partnerships with film programs at UCLA, USC, AFI, and similar institutions to strengthen early-career pipelines
  • Coordinate with fellowships, labs, and competitions that surface emerging creative voices
  • Attend industry events, festivals, and branded workshops to identify talent and expand the company's network
  • Support the implementation of U.S. HR systems including ATS platforms to improve recruiting and onboarding workflows

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in entertainment, creative industries, talent agencies, production/studio environments, or high-growth startups
  • Demonstrated ability to source, evaluate, and close candidates across creative, executive, production, and corporate roles
  • Strong understanding of the Los Angeles entertainment landscape combined with corporate recruiting fundamentals
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable managing both creative talent pipelines and business hiring needs in a fast-moving startup setting
  • Familiarity with industry talent development programs like fellowships, labs, and competitions is a plus
  • Experience supporting broader HR functions such as employee relations, compensation/benefits, or compliance in a small company or startup is highly valued
  • Ability to handle sensitive areas involving unions, guilds, labor practices, and compliance with discretion
  • Mandarin language skills are a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States with no visa sponsorship needed
