About the Role

The Short Drama Content Business Partnership team sits at the intersection of content acquisition and rights management. This position is responsible for building the copyright partnership pipeline that makes TikTok's overseas short drama catalog possible. You will source original content, cultivate relationships with rights holders, negotiate licensing agreements, and secure premiere rights for titles with strong audience potential. If you understand how the short drama market moves and have experience getting deals across the finish line, this role puts you at the center of one of the fastest-growing content categories in digital media.


What You'll Do

  • Lead copyright partnership initiatives for overseas short dramas across target markets
  • Source and evaluate content from rights holders, producers, and distribution platforms
  • Build and manage an ongoing pipeline of short drama titles for acquisition consideration
  • Handle end-to-end copyright negotiations from initial outreach through deal execution
  • Secure exclusive premiere rights for high-priority titles identified through market research
  • Track overseas short drama rankings and trending titles to inform acquisition strategy
  • Maintain strong working relationships with content partners throughout deal lifecycles
  • Collaborate with internal teams on content evaluation, legal review, and publishing workflows

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, content partnerships, or rights acquisition
  • Demonstrated track record working on short drama copyright collaboration or content licensing
  • Familiarity with the overseas short drama landscape and major distribution players
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where market conditions shift quickly
  • Excellent communication skills for both internal alignment and external partner management
  • Experience working cross-functionally with legal, content, and operations teams

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $88,920 – $209,380 annually, depending on experience and location. TikTok offers RSUs, comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, and additional perks through its full employee benefits package.
