Company Overview
SpoonLabs is a global content platform company operating both Spoon (a live audio platform) and Vigloo, a premium short-form drama platform delivering immersive vertical episodes around two minutes each. Vigloo produces content across 8 languages using global production infrastructure and localization strategies. They're currently building out their U.S. branch in Glendale and looking for producers who want to shape that operation from the ground up.
Position Overview
This is a full-cycle producing role with ownership across every phase. You'll take scripts and creative materials through pre-production planning, lead on-set operations, oversee post-production and quality management, manage vendor and partner relationships, and collaborate with marketing on audience insights and promotional strategy. The pace is fast and the expectations are high, but you'll have direct influence over Vigloo's creative direction in the U.S. market.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production
- Review scripts and creative materials to build clear, actionable production plans
- Develop pre-production workflows covering scheduling, budgeting, casting coordination, and location planning
- Confirm all materials are feasible and aligned with project goals
- Identify operational challenges early and propose solutions that protect creative vision while keeping execution practical
Production Management
- Lead all stages of production from prep through wrap, delivering high-quality work under tight schedules
- Direct on-set operations with clear communication across departments
- Maintain creative integrity while managing time, budget, and resource constraints
Post-Production & Quality
- Oversee editing, sound, and VFX to ensure consistent storytelling and brand alignment
- Provide specific feedback on pacing, tone, and structure to elevate the final product
- Uphold Vigloo's standards for quality, security, and compliance across all deliverables
- Document best practices and refine workflows for scalability
Partnerships & Cross-Functional
- Manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and co-production partners
- Serve as liaison between creative, production, post, and business teams including finance, marketing, and operations
- Communicate progress, anticipate risks, and keep stakeholders aligned
Marketing & Audience
- Partner with marketing to identify storytelling moments for promotional campaigns and CPI optimization
- Analyze audience data and feedback to inform creative and production decisions
- Apply insights to improve storytelling, engagement, and content performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience leading full-cycle production across film, TV, or short-form digital content, ideally in vertical or mobile-first formats
- Proven command of creative and operational workflows including development, production, post, and delivery under accelerated timelines and budget constraints
- Ability to stay composed under pressure with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience guiding cross-functional teams across creative, marketing, and business operations
- Deep understanding of audience behavior and digital-first storytelling with a sharp sense of what performs on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
- Must be able to work on-site in Glendale
- U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available
Preferred
- Mandarin or Korean proficiency is a plus
- Startup or high-growth media company experience is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
$70,000 to $140,000 annually based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance. 15 days annual PTO inclusive of sick leave with a cash-out option for unused days. Sponsorship for major industry conferences and networking events.
