DramaBox is hiring Producers to manage their growing slate of vertical drama series out of Glendale. The role covers the full production lifecycle from development through delivery, coordinating with directors, writers, crew, and external vendors across multiple concurrent projects. This is contract to start, but they're upfront about the fact that strong performers regularly move into full-time internal roles with benefits.

Company Overview

DramaBox is one of the major players in the vertical drama space globally, producing mobile-first series out of hubs in Los Angeles, New York, and Asia. They offer a large on-demand library of episodic content built for mobile consumption and are expanding rapidly in the U.S. as vertical storytelling becomes one of the fastest-growing formats in digital entertainment.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on producing role for someone who can juggle multiple productions simultaneously in a high-volume environment. You'll shepherd vertical drama projects from early development and pre-production through shooting and post, keeping everything on schedule and running efficiently. The job involves heavy coordination with directors, external production vendors, and internal teams across content and operations. They want someone who can spot problems before they become crises and keep the machine moving without sacrificing quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage vertical drama productions across all phases from development through post-production and final delivery
  • Coordinate with directors, writers, crew, and outside production vendors to keep projects aligned with both creative vision and operational targets
  • Handle production logistics including scheduling, budget coordination, and resource planning across multiple simultaneous shoots
  • Partner with external vendors and service providers to ensure efficient execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal production, content, and operations teams to maintain clear communication throughout the lifecycle
  • Flag risks and bottlenecks early and implement practical fixes to keep timelines intact
  • Uphold consistent production standards so delivery deadlines are met across the slate

Requirements

  • Proven track record managing film, television, commercial, or short-form digital productions from development through final delivery
  • Solid grasp of production workflows including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics
  • Experience working with external production vendors, production partners, or end-to-end production services
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with tight turnarounds and overlapping projects
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to bridge creative and operational stakeholders
  • California or Los Angeles production background strongly preferred
  • Vertical series, short-form episodic, or digital-first scripted production experience is a strong plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States with no visa sponsorship needed

Why This Role

Contract producers who perform well regularly transition into full-time internal producer positions with standard company benefits. This is positioned as a proving ground with a clear path forward.
