Position Overview
This role sits squarely in the creative development space. You'll spend your time generating ideas, not cutting footage. The focus is on developing high-performing short-form concepts that work across vertical platforms, with an emphasis on viral hooks, retention mechanics, and formats that can scale into recurring series. You'll collaborate with editors and producers to get those ideas produced, but the core of the job is ideation and creative strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Generate short-form video concepts built for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Develop hooks that grab attention in the first one to three seconds. Build repeatable formats that work as series rather than one-off posts. Identify emerging trends early and adapt them to fit the Dhar Mann voice and values. Design ideas with retention baked in through open loops, escalation, and payoff. Create concepts that leave natural room for brand integration and sponsorship. Work with editors and producers to bring ideas from concept to finished product.
Requirements
Deep understanding of short-form storytelling as a system, not just a format. Ability to manufacture emotion quickly across heart, surprise, tension, and humor. Strong grasp of why viewers swipe away and how to prevent it. Thinks in hooks, repeatable structures, and scalable formats. Constantly tracking what's performing across platforms right now. Can articulate creative thinking clearly and simply.
