This proof of concept episode will serve as the foundation for full production once funding is secured, and the actress cast now will carry the role forward.

Naomi Price (Female, 35-45) She's spent years holding everything together by holding everything in. Smart, perceptive, controlled—until she isn't. The surface reads calm and composed, but underneath there's a lifetime of swallowed frustration ready to break through. This isn't a role where you get to shout and throw things. The power comes from restraint, from what stays behind the eyes, from the pauses between words. Strong improvisational ability is a must—the project leaves room for the performance to breathe and evolve in the moment. Confident British accent essential. Seeking Black or Multiracial talent. Rate: £50/hour | Total: £300 (est. 6 hours shoot day)

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT

This isn't vertical drama as usual. There are no quick cuts to mask a thin performance. The camera stays close, the dialogue is sparse, and the silences do as much work as the words. They need someone who can communicate complex inner life without saying anything and then devastate when they finally do. If you trained in theater, Meisner, or any method that rewards truthfulness over volume, this is your kind of project.
