Freelance Scriptwriters Wanted – Vertical & Micro Drama

About the Role

We are seeking experienced screenwriters with a strong background in serialized, short-form storytelling (vertical drama / micro-drama). We are developing an innovative new mobile game where players solve casual puzzles interspersed with highly engaging story videos. We are currently commissioning scripts across a variety of binge-worthy genres, including romance, drama, mystery, and crime/thriller.

Company Overview

Tripledot Games is on track to become one of the largest independent mobile games companies in the world. Our expanding portfolio is set to include some of the biggest titles in mobile gaming, collectively reaching top chart positions around the world and engaging over 25 million daily active users.

What We Are Looking For

  • Complete, serialized scripts: We are looking for fully developed story arcs that we can immediately produce into videos.
  • Limitless creativity: We will be using cutting-edge AI to generate the video content. This means you have total creative freedom regarding world-building and locations. There are no budget constraints for sets, special effects, or moving between multiple locations—so think big!
  • High retention and tension: Fast-paced narrative hooks and strong cliffhangers are essential. We need gripping emotional turns and stakes, especially in the opening episodes and at the end of every installment, to maintain momentum across the entire storyline.
  • Format: Our stories can vary in total length, but we require a minimum of 25 short-form "episodes" per script. Each episode should run between 10 and 60 seconds in length.

The Process & Compensation To apply, please reach out to us with a pitch that includes:

  1. A Logline and a brief synopsis of your story.
  2. A description of your tone and format.
  3. Your proposed flat-rate buyout fee for the full, completed script.

If we love your pitch, we will reach out with a contract. This is a freelance, work-for-hire role. Writers will be paid in full for the buyout of the story rights once the final script has been delivered and approved by our team.
