POSITION OVERVIEW

You'll read web novels and adapt them into vertical screenplays or use them as springboards for original scripts. This isn't a slow-burn literary gig. You'll be writing content designed to maximize retention, conversion, and engagement. That means understanding data, taking feedback, workshopping scripts with peers, and iterating quickly. If you love romance and drama, know how to structure a story that hooks people fast, and can write under pressure, you'll fit right in.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read web novels and adapt them into original screenplays for vertical format
• Analyze performance data to identify what's working and what needs fixing
• Write original content and occasionally collaborate on published material
• Use data insights to improve retention, chapter conversion, and user onboarding
• Participate in script workshops and provide constructive feedback to other writers

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of screenwriting experience
• Education: Bachelor's degree in English, History, Fine Arts, Screenwriting, or related field
• Genre Expertise: Strong creative skills in romance and drama; comfortable writing young adult content that may include sensitive or triggering material
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the online reading and publishing space
• Work Style: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, work across time zones, and handle pressure
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
